- Abstract
- The distance from ports was estimated in km and mapped in order to be used as criterion within the Spatial Multi-Criteria Evaluation process for the aquaculture suitability evaluation. The grid was extracted from the pixel centroid of the satellite Sea Surface Temperature (SST) data at a spatial resolution of 1km2 (CMEMS).

- The Adriatic Slovenian area was gridded extracting the centroid of each pixel of the Sea Surface Temperature (SST) NetCDF data produced by Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS), at a spatial resolution of 1km2. The distance of each centroid from the nearest port was derived through the Nearest Neighbour Analysis (QGIS tool) and represented in km. The distance from ports criterion, within Spatial Multi-Criteria Evaluation process for the aquaculture suitability evaluation, represent a proxy of the economic cost for the farmers.
